Gail Simpson is the Founder and Principal of Gail Simpson & Associates, where she leads strategic stakeholder engagement for utilities and major infrastructure projects. Drawing on more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry, Gail helps clients anticipate public concerns, strengthen community and government relationships, manage project risk, and communicate clearly when the stakes are high.
Before founding GSA, Gail held leadership roles with Duke Energy, Progress Energy, and Florida Power Corporation. Her work included building an enterprise transmission public-engagement function, advising executives on complex public-policy issues, negotiating municipal and territorial agreements, and leading public strategies for some of the companies’ most significant infrastructure projects.
Under Gail’s leadership, GSA has supported more than 250 infrastructure projects. She is recognized for combining executive-level strategy with practical, on-the-ground engagement—bringing together project teams, public officials, agencies, communities, and property owners to find workable paths forward.
